And just like that, the 2021 festival season draws to an end. It was so great to have live music on stages across the country this year and it’s always fitting that one of my favorite fall festivals ends with the fine folks at The Moonshiner’s Ball.
Once again a perfectly curated event, something for everyone from Sam Bush to Hey Steve, Ernie Johnson From Detroit to Nané, The Commonheart (what a show) to ‘local’ favorites Magnolia Boulevard (another weekend highlight), Mama Said String Band and Senora May. Throw in late night shows by Moon Hooch, Big Atomic and Vintage Pistol and sets with 49 Winchester, Abby Hamilton, host band The Blind Corn Liquor Pickers and more and it’s a perfect fall weekend at one of the more picturesque venues, Rockcastle Riverside.
