Umphrey’s McGee Announces a Socially-Distant, ‘Plan Bee’ Spring Tour

It certainly feels like things are moving in the right direction for all of us eager for live music to return, and (fingers crossed) we may be poised for an epic late summer / fall if the vaccine progress continues.

In the meantime, the jam-prog-rock stalwarts of the scene Umphrey’s McGee have announced a set of drive-in and socially-distant shows in Illinois, Georgia, and Michigan this spring.

Dubbed “The Plan Bee Tour,” the shows will kickoff with two nights of drive-in shows on April 30th at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA. On May 14th and 15th, the band will head to their home state for drive-in shows at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, IL. They will wrap things up with a set of shows May 28th and 29th using the ‘concert pods’ at close with pod-style concerts at Riverside Station Detroit.

Per the band’s Instagram: “With the start of spring 2021 comes renewed hope that live music will soon be back in full swing. While we patiently await the safe conditions needed to make that happen, we are pleased to bring you the Plan Bee Tour, a collection of double-header COVID-compliant and socially-distanced rock & roll shows.”
