DSO Celebrates The Dead’s Spring ’77 This Weekend

PC: Dark Star Orchestra

Dark Star Orchestra brings The Grateful Dead experience like no other. Whether you’re new to the scene or a seasoned Deadhead, the group will take you on a musical journey every night. The band had something special in store for their string of May shows. With the official release of the iconic 5/8/77 Cornell show, the group has decided to recreate five Spring ’77 shows.

On Saturday, May 13th, Dark Star Orchestra will make a stop at Penn’s Peak in picturesque Jim Thorpe (make sure you stop out on the back deck to check out the view). The group will not be announcing what shows they will be performing from the Spring 1977 run. These particular shows has special meaning to DSO three DSO members. Keyboardist, Rob Baracco, along with guitarists Rob Eaton & Jeff Mattson had the opportunity to be in attendance in ‘ 77. This is also where lead vocalist/guitarist, Rob Eaton, finally “got it”, and became a full fledged Deadhead.

So fill up your VW bus and truck on up to Penn’s Peak on Saturday evening!
