Thievery Corporation is currently celebrating 20 years of pushing musical boundaries. These Thieves has a long history in the nation’s capitol, but their sound still continues to take the band traveling all over the world. Thievery has made a string of DC runs each year a norm and the 9:30 Club is their home, the band even recorded a DVD at the venue back in January 2010.  Eric and Rob have created their own genre of downtempo lounge music with an eclectic sampling of musical influences from around the world that collides with an incredible cast of musicians and vocalists who bring the discography to full life in the live setting.

The band recently confirmed that they’ll be playing at the 9:30 Club on Thursday, Dec. 15th and Friday, December 16th. While only two dates are confirmed, it’d not be a surprise to see other nights come up as well. Last round the band performed 3 nights at the 9:30 Club. If any other dates drop, we will be sure to let you know.
