DelFest, the beloved annual bluegrass festival hosted by the McCoury family, is gearing up for another incredible Memorial Day weekend celebration on May 23-26, 2024 in Cumberland, Maryland. Set against the picturesque Allegheny Mountains, this family-friendly festival offers the perfect blend of world-class music, gorgeous scenery, and a warm community atmosphere.
The lineup for DelFest 2024 is stacked with bluegrass legends and rising stars. Headliners include the iconic Del McCoury Band, the jamgrass pioneers Yonder Mountain String Band, bluegrass supergroup The Travelin’ McCourys, Americana maverick Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, Greensky Bluegrass, Leftover Salmon, and the raucous Old Crow Medicine Show. Other can’t-miss acts include Dre Anders, Sierra Ferrell, The Broomestix, Don Was’ Pan-Detroit Ensemble, Kenny & Amanda Smith, The Brothers Comatose, Dirty Grass Players, and many more. With three stages of music, it’s hard to do it all.
As always, the McCoury family will be curating an incredible experience for festival-goers of all ages. The DelFest Academy also returns, offering attendees the chance to learn from and play alongside the very performers taking the stage. World-class musicians will be leading workshops and instructionals at the pre-festival event.
In addition to the wonderful music, DelFest features a wide array of craft and food vendors, showcasing the best of regional artisans and cuisine. Those looking to relax and rejuvenate can take part in yoga classes, massage treatments, and other wellness offerings from partners like Active Potential. There is also a food drive led by Del’s Army which since 2011 has collected more than two and half tons of food at DelFest.
Nestled in the mountains, the fairgrounds lend themselves to an unbeatable musical experience underneath the sun and stars.
