SweetWater Brewing Company has been a staple for the Atlanta community for 27 years, not only for the tasty brews they have consistently provided, but also for the stylistically-varied festivals they have been putting together. 420 Fest has been a linchpin to the Atlanta festival scene the last 10 years, and we are very excited that they will be back this year at Pullman Yards.
The anniversary shows at the brewery have also been a great excuse to celebrate the elite vibes of the brewery over some quality tunes. This year’s lineup for the 27th Anniversary Party featured local hip hop duo EARTHGANG, DJ Maddy O’Neal, and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country. In addition, it was also an opportunity to meet some fantastic artists in the music scene with the Atlanta Rock Poster Show, an incredible event “celebrating the world of music, rock art & gigposters.”
Daniel Donato effortlessly bridges the gap of country twang and psychedelic rock with sharp guitar acumen. Him and his full band are in lock step and one of the the strongest new touring acts out there. Over two sets, Donato provided some jaw dropping musicianship, with originals like “Hi-Country” (off of his strong latest release, Reflector), as well as some teases to local heroes Allman Brothers Band with a “Jessica” interlude.
EARTHGANG was a perfect headliner for the Anniversary Party in Atlanta. The local duo (Johnny Venus and WowGr8) bring a modern spin on the iconic southern hip-hop sound with many soul and funk undertones. Their latest release ROBOPHOBIA really encapsulates their unique style.
SweetWater Brewing Company has been a true blessing to those Atlantans that take pride in the preservation of the cityscape, value quality beers, and dig authentic music.
We cannot wait for more quality lineups for the anniversary parties in the years to come!
