For only the third time in 30 years, Nick Cave played in Milwaukee. There was palpable buzz at The Riverside Theater for the show amongst the smartly dressed 40-70 year olds. Suits and ties, pork pie hats and ironic glasses were in toe. The show was mainly tracks from the Bad Seed‘s lengthy career (none of the Seeds were there, but Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood supplied understated bass) as well as from his Grinderman releases.
