Goose at the Miller High Life Theatre in Milwaukee – Photo Recap

Photos and Recap by Stephen Bloch

The jamband scene is alive and well and Milwaukee does its best to embrace all the different subsets of the genre.  Last night, the Miller High Life Theater played host to arguably the most popular jam band not named Phish: Goose. Hailing out of Connecticut, the band consists of Rick Mitarotonda on guitar/lead vocals, Peter Anspach on keyboards, guitar and vocals, Trevor Weeks on bass, Ben Atkind on drums, and  Jeff Arevalo on percussion. This band could have undoubtedly sold out three nights based upon the packed to the gills theater.  The band played a nearly three hour show, dynamically shifting between indie rock songs, 15-minute guitar driven improvisations, and funky jams. Good stuff!
