Tedeschi Trucks Band Continue to Exceed Expectations at Warner Theatre Residency in D.C.

Photos and Recap by Mark Raker

Tedeschi Trucks Band returned to the Warner Theatre in Washington D.C. for their annual six show residency and proved yet again why they continue to be one the best powerhouse touring bands out there, year after year. I only caught one of the six-sold out shows, and barely got my fix, as the show highlighted their trademark energy, passion, huge guitar licks and slide solos. They exceed every expectation and brought the house down from all angles – horns, power drums, swooning harmonies.  All of that, and then load on Derek Trucks‘ super talented leadmanship and Susan Tedeschi‘s vocals and blues guitar leads and there is not much more one could yearn for.
