Sneaky Pete and the Secret Weapons
Pacific Northwest and Rockies
Since adding new drummer Phil Walker to the lineup earlier this year, the groove-oriented quintet has been gearing up for a big summer on the road. Featuring bassist Sam Lowenthal, keyboardist Galen Karnatz, trumpeter/vocalist/percussionist Bobby Griffith, and guitarist/vocalist Jack Tolan, Sneaky Pete and The Secret Weapons have been at work in the studio on a new self-produced EP, and are ready to bring the new tunes to the Pacific Northwest and Rockies.
The tour will begin in their hometown of Jackson Hole, WY, for their fourth annual July 4th late-night throw-down. They then begin their journey, moving through Idaho to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and Montana, before wrapping up with a tour-ending EP-release party at the Pink Garter Theater. They’ll share the bill in Seattle with local jazz-groove masters McTuff, and a pairing of dates with rising Denver jam trio, Cycles, in Oregon.
They will also host a String Cheese Incident after party in Eugene, at Sam Bond’s Garage on 7/23.
Fueled by their new sound, Sneaky Pete and The Secret Weapons is set to take their already notorious dance parties to the next level. “We’re really excited to hit the road and show people what we’ve been working on” says Tolan. “We’ve got a whole new vibe and a fresh batch of songs, and this tour is lining up to be our best yet!”
