Here is a very strong cover of the ABB recorded by Railroad Earth at The Variety Playhouse on April 4th, 2014. This particular cover sees RRE unleashing a flurry of acoustic justice to a traditionally sharp electric tune. The Allman Brothers southern influences are translated over well, if you will, within the context of RRE’s fine precision and execution of their acoustic instruments.

Railroad Earth really is one of the best bands on tour right now. They deserve the ultimate salute for having a strong reliance on their roots, but also they aren’t copy cats and have helped evolved the live bluegrass genre.

The release is a nod to their upcoming NYE run in Atlanta, GA at the Variety Playouse.
