John Kadlecik of Furthur and Dark Star Orchestra has announced that he will be performing every Tuesday at Gypsy Sally’s through October 21. John Kadlecik & the DC Mystery Cats will be performing Jerry Garcia Band set lists in their entirety. (Purchase Tickets)

For those in the DC area you may have already caught John in recent history at his special Jerry Birthday bash held each August at local venues such as the Howard Theatre (2013) as well as the Hamilton (2014) . The new residency at a relatively new venue in town is sure to provide fans with an intimate experience to catch John while he is not on the road with original Dead members Bobby and Phil.

If you live in the Potomac region be sure to check out the exceptional list of concert dates that were recently released by Gypsy Sally’s.

As most of you already know John is well known for his ability to perform Jerry Garcia’s lead guitar parts and improvisational passages like no one else around. He was a co-founder of the Dark Star Orchestra and is now a member of Furthur featuring Bobby and Phil of the Dead alongside a host of the finest musicians on the live music scene.

Currently Furthur is not on tour and Bob Weir had to cancel all of his upcoming tour dates with his long-standing project, Ratdog. This also led Furthur to cancel their plans for Lockn’ Festival last weekend. LiveMusicDaily is glad to see John keeping the local scene thriving with his spare Tuesday nights. See you there next week.

Enjoy the video below of John performing “Terrapin Station” with Furthur live at TRI Studios.
