Animo is a surf/rootsreggae band from Santa Cruz, California that
started out as a live roots jam band lead by singer/songwriter, Mo
El-Sherif which has quickyly grown to become Santa Cruz’s premiere
Cali Reggae Group.  The band is comprised of four talented members
including Bert Javier (Drums), Zack Nutty (Bass), Jason Sherman (Lead
Guitar).

On June 17, 2014, Animo released their much anticipated EP,
 Morning Light.  Morning Light was produced by one of the industry’s
 most talented producers, E.N Young of Imperial Sounds Studio which
 features guest performances by E.N Young of Tribal Seeds, Eddie Blunt
 of High Tide and Deejay Skanks of SRP.  Morning Light EP consists of 5
 original tracks with 2 dub tracks highlighting the creative
 collaboration of Animo and E.N Young.

Mo has been sharing his love for performing and creating music with
artists in the Santa Cruz community.  His poistive vibes and energy 
has manifested into the lyrical sound and Santa Cruz style and sees
 Morning Light as a reflection of his musical and spritual development.
 Animo urges people to show and spread love to everyone.

Morning Light showcases Animo’s strong musical sense and cohesive
 sound, giving listeners a taste of his capabilities and what to expect
 in the future.  Animo is driven by a desire to create music that
 inspires and captivates audiences while delivering positive messages.
 Animo will be hitting the road to promote their music in Fall of 2014.
