Live at TRI Studios with Bob Weir
After revisiting this album yet again the other day, I felt a strong need to take you back to 2011 with this exceptional live studio session. “Live At Robertos” was recorded in Bob Weir’s TRI Studios with some special guests including Don Carlos, sax legend Karl Denson, New Orleans funkster Ian Neville, and of course Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead. The video above features Weir sitting in for the group on the Slightly Stoopid original, “Ocean”.
The footage originally aired as a live webcast, while a group of close friends were treated to an intimate in-studio concert at the TRI clubhouse in San Rafael, CA. Slightly Stoopid has certainly proven their place as a highly reputable reggae outfit as a result of their studio work. However, this session clearly reveals their studio success only scratches the surface of their abilities as they display a well-balanced mix of song-writing, group chemistry, and instrumental talents.
Enjoy the entire album for streaming below. The 31 song/ 2 set acoustic and electric performance is available for purchase as a limited edition HD DVD/ 2CD set for only $4.20 (Purchase Here).-LMD Commentary & About
