Today highlights one of the greatest and youngest slide guitarists on the scene. In this video Derek Trucks briefly explains his initial fascination of playing slide. Derek’s band of all-star musicians cover Derek and the Dominos original “Anyday”. Clapton formed Derek the and the Dominos in the early 1970s, subsequent recording sessions feature the Allman Brothers guitarist, Duane Allman, on tracks including “Anyday”. The footage from The Derek Trucks band at Eric Clapton’s Crossroad’s festival in 2007 includes Derek Trucks wife, Susan Tedeschi, on vocals.
