Last week, one of the legends of the soul-jazz movement made a visit to Milwaukee’s newest venue, The Argo. The Greyboy Allstars, led by multi-instrumentalist Karl Denson, got the groove laid down in swaths.  Funkiness was the palate that got painted over the jazzy numbers as well as the psych grooves.  Great crowd that leaned hard into the jams, especially that Hammond B3 played by Robert Walter.
