Billy Strings Sits in with Trey Anastasio Band and Goose in Virginia – Video Recap

Well folks, it happened. The unimaginable crossover of the sensei of modern jam played with two grasshopper artists that are carrying the torch for the next generation. At EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, VA, Trey Anastasio Band and Goose stopped in town for their ‘TABOOSE’ tour, which has been a soaring success so far and so much fun. Rumors were swirling in the scene as Billy Strings had an off day before his D.C. show Friday, and many were hoping for a one-off sit in. Well it happened, and it was mind-blowing. Trey Anastasio Band brought out Goose’s Rick Mitarotonda and Peter Anspach and Strings for a hodgepodge of epic collaborations which ultimately peaked at the end with the full Goose lineup joining Billy and TAB onstage for “Carini.”
