Dr. John was the quintessential New Orleans musician, his style being a musical gumbo of funk, R&B, jazz, rock, blues and boogie. Be thankful that we got to share a few years on the planet with the mystical Night Tripper. His voice sounded like it had hundreds of years of history in it, and his piano playing had a touch of that creole grease on every note.

Some of our favorite live performances of his career below, but take the time and venture down the rabbit hole and listen to the many great live and studio cuts from Dr. John’s career. RIP Dr. John, you will be missed.
