Is Rage Against the Machine About To Make A Return?

Rage Against the Machine, a band that literally stands for a middle finger to “the man”, might be making an epic return. Last night reports flooded in of http://prophetsofrage.com displaying #TakeThePowerBack and a features a countdown till June 1, 2016.

Since the news has hit the page seems to be overloaded with the following error “Resource Limit Is Reached – The website is temporarily unable to service your request as it exceeded resource limit. Please try again later.”

Pitchfork reports “Twitter users have also posted pictures of the image plastered on posters around L.A.” “Prophets of Rage” is a track off Public Enemy’s 1998 album titled “It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back“. The prompt to input an email address renders a lyric from that exact song. One could be led to believe that Public Enemy and Rage Against the Machine have something in store for us come 2011.

While many are offering this up as a return tour, it could also be a tour with Public Enemy, it might even mean the two are actually going to bring us some studio recordings and a tour (dare I say this, not to jump the gun).

Rage Against the Machine has not played since 2011. Let’s see how 2016 plays out.
