Once again the folks from Stuart’s Opera House in Nelsonville, Ohio are throwing the spring party known as the Nelsonville Music Festival, June 2-5th. This year’s line-up includes Randy Newman, Gillian Welch, Gary Clark Jr.. Courtney Barnett, The Tallest Man on Earth, John Moreland, Lake Street Dice, My Bubba, Town Mountain, Marco Benevento, Angela Perley & The Howlin Moons and many more (http://nelsonvillefest.org/day-schedule).

The NMF is truly a unique festival, nestled in the rolling hills of southeastern Ohio with music performed on multiple stages, ranging from the main stage and porch stage to the intimate no-fi cabin (and this year, a mural covered, converted train car). Plenty of great food and beer from local vendors, kids activities a great campground and one of the cleanest venues you will find (NMF is a zero waste event, diverting 94% of the waste created in 2015) … plenty of fresh water and friendly volunteers.
The Nelsonville Music Festival is the perfect size … large enough to attract some of the best in the business (past performers have included Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, The Flaming Lips, Lucero, Jason Isbell, The Avett Brothers, Brandi Carlile, St. Vincent and many more) yet small enough that it’s more like a party with 6,000 of your best friends!
