Watch Widespread Panic Play “Mr. Soul” with Nicky Sanders

“Mr. Soul” (Neil Young) – Dallas – July 8, 2015

On the way to work this morning an friend texted me about Nicky Sanders crushing the fiddle last night in Dallas. The consensus seems to be that Panic threw down perhaps the best Dallas show in years. Fans are calling the WINSPEAR OPERA HOUSE  an incredibly breathtaking venue. This served as a strong follow-up to architectural beauty of the Majestic Theatre where the band just finished a 3 night run over 4th of July weekend. As most of you know the website crashed when tickets went on sale. Naturally, fans drove to the venue to secure tickets. It was certainly worth the wait to say the least.

I think they found their Dallas venue with last night’s show. The energy and sound was incredible. – Dustin Weil (Dallas Panic Fan)

Nicky Sanders sat in with the band at the end of the first set for  Driving Song > The Take Out > Porch Song > Breathing Slow > Driving Song. Then he came out once again to end the second set for Surprise Valley > Life During Wartime. To cap off the night Nicky joined for a two song encore, “May Your Glass Be Filled” > “Mr. Soul”.

Also, one side note… During “Stop Breaking Down Blues” Schools said “You girls gotta stand up. You’re the only people in the whole place that aren’t standing.”
