DC’s BLACK MASALA TO RECORD NEW ALBUM
THE BAND CELEBRATES THREE YEARS TOGETHER
CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED TO SUPPORT NEW ALBUM
The past three years have been a wild ride for Black Masala, the eclectic brass band from Washington, DC. The band has quickly become a crowd favorite and is excited to get into the studio and record a brand new album soon. In order to shoulder the costs of putting out the album, Black Masala has launched a crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo, with the goal of raising $5000 in 45 days. The band is counting on its fans and friends to support the effort, and they have put together an extensive list of incentives and perks.
Part of what makes Black Masala so appealing are the talented and energetic band members who each bring their own flavor to the mix. The Indiegogo campaign reflects the funky members of the band with perks like singing telegrams, private music lessons, song lyrics, custom t-shirts and more surprises. And many support levels come with the CD, digital download, and t-shirt, it’s a great way to get the album and help out.
Black Masala has had an amazing three years already; winning two WAMA “Wammie” awards in both 2013 and 2014, playing so many great shows, and releasing a great debut album. The band is excited to release a new album and take the party to the next level.
