The company is built on a social mission with three main staples: raise awareness, build viable relationships, and raise money for charity. Friends with Benefits Fund also encourages young and up-and-coming artists to become more philanthropic. Many artists aim for fame and glory, only to realize that they should give back through charitable concerts much later in their careers. In our model, we encourage the bands to pick a charity that they are passionate about, further engaging and fulfilling our tagline of “music for a cause”. When raising money from charities, we maximize fundraising by keeping costs as low as possible. Friends With Benefits Fund prepares for all logistical challenges of hosting a concert event including evaluating and selecting venues, negotiating contracts with bands, ticket pricing, decorations, marketing, outsourcing stage construction and sound equipment, and presenting a viable donation to the charity.
