DC’s musical history is so rich and witnessing the 1st annual Funk parade last year was definitely an honor. This event will continue to grow and expose true musicians of the DC area in its finest and most organic form. For those of you who don’t like dancing, please clear the streets because this will be one for the books.

Funk Parade‘s crowdfunding campaign starts today on Indiegogo. Your donation – of any amount, from $1 to $1,000 – will help pay for this one-of-a-kind celebration of our city Saturday, May 2, in the U Street Neighborhood.

Last year, the community raised over $11,000 through Indiegogo to make the first-ever Funk Parade happen. Let’s do it again – bigger, better and funkier than ever!
