Weekly Choice Cuts

For those of you who aren’t already familiar, Assembly of Dust is the best band you’ve never heard of. It is a cliche notion that it’s cliche to say “they sound JUST like the Dead/Allman Brothers” etc. Cliche? Whatever. You can tell who their influences are-AND ITS AWESOME. I mean, put the Band, the Stones, ABB, and 70s pop rock in a vat, throw in some Dead sauce, and put it on boil. Out pops Assembly of Dust. These guys have played all the festivals, they jam with everyone (check out former keyboardist Nate Wilson with moe, for example), they are all virtuosos at their instruments-I should go on. I’m embarrased I only discovered them a few months ago. I’m obsessed, and you should be too. -Tripp Demoss
