I’d be lying if I told you I hadn’t spent 3 months studying star charts to determine Soul Sister’s release date. Shit paid off.

1456 – Joan of Arc posthumously declared innocent

1947 – Roswell UFO crash in New Mexico (I can confirm this, John and I were aboard)
1959 – Venus occults the star Regulus, making it possible to measure Venus’s size for the first time
1981 – First woman appointed to U.S. Supreme Court (Sandra Day O’Connor)
2003 – NASA’s Opportunity Mars Exploration rover launched
2006 – Syd Barrett (Pink Floyd) died
