Let us take a step back to Phish’s 4 night New Years Eve run at the historic Madison Square Garden. In what was a clear highlight of the first night lead guitarist Trey Anastasio took his new Echoplex pedal to new heights taking the jam to uncharted territories with soaring solos engulfed in a realm of sonic echoes. This video is well worth revisiting for all of you who were at the Garden and for those of us at home. What ensues around the 5 minute mark is a jam reminiscent of “Echoes” off Pink Floyd’s 6th studio album released in 1971 titled Meddle.

The Trey Anastasio Band just wrapped out their tour this past Friday in Indianapolis, IN at the Egyptian Ballroom. Meanwhile, Mike Gordon is gearing up for an extensive 20-show tour kicking off on Feb. 28th and concluding on April 6th in Phish’s home stomping grounds of Burlington, VT at Higher Ground.
