Thought this’d be a perfect one for Valentine’s Day coming up. This came about after a series of serendipitous events in early december, talking with a close friend about Bill, led to making a mini-bill mix (maybe i’ll put that out one day if I expand on it), to watching the documentary “Still Bill” and on the plane ride home, I thought to myself “I’d like Just the Two Of US alot better without Grover’s sax” so, I started working on it just for fun. Well, here’s how it turned out. Just the Vocal Bill parts chopped and warped. Man, Bill speaks some magic that could only come from the great heart of Bill Withers!

Time WIth You is a personal one, lots of heart opening while I was working on it, maybe too much ha. It’s about spending one-on-one time with those you love, whether it’s a: mother, father, grandma or grandpa, brother or sister, wife or husband, daughter or son, dear friend, lover, mate, soul mate, whether renewing an old friendship, or starting a new one, all the words you need to voice how you feel were sung by Bill 30 some years ago.

So, to dedicate, on my travels, I of course interact and sometimes hangout with the Girlfriends & Wives of my Musical Peers. They always tell me the SAME THING. “Gaff, make sure you make the most of your time with your lady when you’re at home” So, really, this song is for them (and my wife), missing their men, and to all my brothers travelling or touring on the road, “make the most of your time with YOUR ladies when you’re at home!”-SC Official
