Today we highlight the work of Kan Sano. A Pianist / producer who currently resides Tokyo, Japan . Born August 6, 1983, Sano studied piano and composition self-taught from the age of 11 , and started playing activity as a pianist at the age of 16 . He also began doing live improvisation monthly solo piano growing up in his home-town of Kanazawa. Upon visiting the United States at the age of 18 after graduating from high school, he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. Kan Sano graduated as a Piano major jazz composer and even had a chance to perform at Monterey Jazz Festival with a band of his own while in school. He has since become one of the best rising beat producers, enjoy the free track below for free streaming. 金沢出身/東京在住のピアニスト/プロデューサー。 1983年8月6日生まれ。
11歳より独学でピアノと作曲を学び、16歳の時ピアニストとして演奏活動を開始。
金沢で毎月ソロピアノの即興ライブを行う。
高校卒業後18歳で渡米し、ボストンのバークリー音楽大学に入学。ピアノ専攻ジャズ作曲科卒業。
在学中には自らのバンドでMonterey Jazz Festivalなどに出演。
ピアニストとしてChara、Twigy、Ovall、mabanua、Hanah Springなどのライブやレコーディングに参加。
また新世代のビートメイカー/プロデューサーとして国内外のコンピレーションに多数参加。
ジャイルスピーターソンのラジオ番組で度々紹介され話題になる。
2010年、金沢在住のソロギタリスト石川征樹と完全即興演奏によるアルバム「共鳴」をリリース。
2011年、デビューアルバム「Fantastic Farewell」をCIRCULATIONSからリリース。
2012年、Bennetrhodes名義のアルバム「Sun Ya」をWax Poeticsからリリース。
2013年、自主制作のソロピアノアルバム「ピアノ作品集」をライブ会場限定リリース。
松浦俊夫presents HEXの中心メンバーとしてBLUE NOTEからデビュー。1stアルバム「HEX」をリリース。
2014年、ゲストシンガーにマンデー満ちる、Benny Singsらを迎えたニューアルバム「2.0.1.1.」をリリース。
