Kicks Off East Coast Book Tour at Gypsy Sally’s in DC Next Week!
Legendary photographer of the live music scene, Jay Blakesberg will be gracing the district with his presence for a presentation at Gypsy Sally’s along the Georgetown waterfront to kick off his East Coast book tour. He will be giving a presentation from 7-8:15pm, this is a FREE event. Afterwards the New Rider’s Of Purple Sage will be performing (tickets for NROPS are available here) in the main room.

Chasing the Light: The rock and roll photography of Jay Blakesberg
Join us at 7pm in the Main Music Room to experience a presentation conducted by music photographer Jay Blakesberg highlighting Jay’s 35 year journey in rock and roll photography. From documenting the Grateful Dead to his latest book Hippie Chick: A Tale of Love, Devotion & Surrender. The presentation will take place before the NRPS show.
Jay will be signing copies of his books immediately following the presentation in the Vinyl Lounge. There is no cover charge for Jay’s presentation. However patrons without NRPS tickets must go to the Vinyl Lounge following Jay’s presentation.
My east coast book tour starts March 28 at Gypsy Sally’s in Wash. DC. 3.29 at Starr Hill Brewery in Charlottesville , Va. And 3.30 in Roanoke Va. These are all 75 minute slide show story telling presentations by me. All events are free and we are giving away a pair of Lockn Tickets each night! I’ll be signing books at all events! I will be talking about my 35 year adventure photographing Rock and Roll and the Grateful Dead thru Fare Thee Well.”
