Black Sabbath: The End Tour Announcement

Black Sabbath: The End Tour Announcement

In 1968 one of the world’s most iconic hard rock bands formed. Black Sabbath, comprised of Geez Butler, Tonny Iommi, Bill Ward and Ozzy Osbourne, transformed rock n roll with some of the heaviest sounds that had ever resonated. Their dark, heavy, in-your-face style thrived on honest musicianship and powerful lead vocals from Ozzy. Sabbath will be missed, but never forgotten.

And with that, once again we remember the old adage: All good things come to an end. (Well with K.I.S.S. it took longer than we thought with their “Farewell Tour”)

Black Sabbath is an iconic band that will stand the test of time, but it certainly may not be a bad thing that they’re hanging their hats up after this one.

One of my favorite parts about Led Zeppelin is that they have called it quits on touring and are letting their legacy stand for itself. That being said, they did have a “disaster” of a reunion with Phil Collins at Live Aid in 1985. But they were able to redeem themselves with a decent return in 2007 at the O2 arena in London featuring Jason Bonham on drums.

Despite line-up changes (including the years Ozzy was absent from the band), bumps in the road, and acclaimed stardom, this band has been through it all. In the end, it is nice for 3 of the core four members of Black Sabbath to celebrate their legacy one final time with top notch shows and spectacular stage production.

It’s the Beginning of THE END.

It started nearly five decades ago with a crack of thunder, a distant bell ringing and then that monstrous riff that shook the earth. The heaviest rock sound ever heard.

In that moment Heavy Metal was born, created by a young band from Birmingham, England barely out of their teens.

Now it ENDS, the final tour by the greatest Metal Band of all time, BLACK SABBATH. Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler close the final chapter in the final volume of the incredible BLACK SABBATH story.

BLACK SABBATH’s farewell tour, THE END, begins on January 20, 2016 and it promises to surpass all previous tours with their most mesmerizing production ever.

When this tour concludes, it will truly be THE END,

THE END of one of most legendary bands in Rock ’n Roll history…
