The Nadis Warriors are rapidly gaining recognition on the live electronic circuit, in fact the Austin based four-piece group recently joined Lotus for the Texas leg of their Spring Tour and thereafter hit the road with Athens based electronic duo, Archnemesis.

The Other Perspective was able to meet the talented group of friendly musicians after their set at Lights All Night. Thereafter, Jason Hahn (Producer/Composer) and I have been in touch. In this Q & A Jason discusses the group’s Texas NYE run and future of electronic music. TOP will be bringing you Nadis Warriors Spring Tour 2012 Coverage as their tour progresses.

Q: This New Year’s run dates were quite exciting could you tell me your personal highlights on both Dec. 30th at the Parish in Austin as well as the New Year’s Eve set at Lights All Night in Dallas?

A: Playing in our home state is always special. The Parish show on the 30th was some of the most intense energy of the year. Since we play as a full band we can play off of the crowd’s energy. The more energy projected onto us from the crowd, the more energy we throw back into the crowd. Its a great symbiotic relationship we have with crowd at our shows. The energy that night was through the roof. Therefore, that was one of the most energetic sets the band has played in my opinion. Great homecoming show. The next night in Dallas was a completely different vibe. Seeing how it was the biggest party in the country we decided to play our darker, more rave influenced tracks. The production at LAN was top notch, and made for a great night. Overall a great New Years weekend in our home turf…

Q:2012 has been a huge year for the explosion of attention to live electronic music, what do you think the future of live electronic music holds?

A: I think the future of live electronic is just begun, and will only get bigger. The advantage to live electronic is that having a full band can change the direction of the song in any given environment. Peaks show up differently each night in different parts of the song. Each time a song is played you never know where its going to go. Giving the listener a different experience each night. I also see the explosion of psychedelic/spiritual electronic on the horizon. More and more psychedelic acts are on the rise, and feel that this will be the next movement in the electronic arena. Music is meant to move your soul, not just your feet. If we can accomplish this each show, then we are doing our job.

The Nadis Warriors will be performing at The Manifestation Celebration held at the Fair Park Band Shell in Dallas, TX May 5th.Other acts on the bill include a DJ set by Thievery Corporation. Also on the list for Nadis this summer is the Wakarusa Music Festival held in a top of Mulberry Mountain in the Ozarks of Arkansas.
