“A Color Map of the Sun”
Set for release July 2nd
“Derek Vincent Smith is delighted to announce the release date of his new full-length album, A Color Map of the Sun, on July 2, 2013. With such a unique and expansive recording process it was essential to capture the making of the album. The footage was shot over two years in multiple cities where some part of the recording and producing process took place. It will give viewers a unique and intimate look at the creation of the collection of work that is A Color Map of the Sun. The documentary will be released this summer.”
True to the Pretty Lights style, the new album will be available for download at NO COST on the day of release. It will also be available as a double-disc CD, on vinyl and on iTunes.

2013 Spring Tour Dates Announced
This morning The Black Crowes Official Website Homepage included a list of Spring 2013 Tour Dates. The first leg of the tour kicks off in the UK at the end of March before the group heads to “the other side of the pond” with stops in major cities in the Northeast (including several two night stands). The tour concludes in the South on May 4th in New Orleans,LA .

Cherub in Dallas, TX Sept.20, 2012
Cherub is aptly self-described as “A sexy, avante garde, electro-pop duo that is the dance love-child of 80’s funk, and pop-music from the future”. I caught the duo in Dallas,TX at The Prophet Bar while they were touring in support of their highly acclaimed debut album, “MoM & DaD”. Both members have unique stage presence as they exchange catchy guitar riffs and belt out harmonizing vocals that get the crowd moving. On Nov. 30th the group joined HK Management. Two Fresh
Two Fresh in Fayetteville,AR

In the Spring of 2010 a group of friends strongly urged me to take a seven hour drive to catch the double bill of Big Gigantic & Two Fresh at George’s Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville, AR. Needless to say I was blown away by both groups and left feeling that the future of the electronic music scene would turn in the direction of artists incorporating instrumental samples and live instruments. Twin brothers Kendrick and Sherwyn Nicholls alongside drummer Colby Buckeler create electronic dance music grounded in a foundation of hip-hop, funk, and soul. They will be touring throughout December including a stop at The Summit in Durango, CO this Friday and a New Year’s Eve celebration at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN before their dates pick back up in late January. Release New Album “GRRR!”
The track featured in the video is “One More Shot”, which is the second brand new recording from Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood, who are back in the studio together for the first time in seven years. (Rolling Stones)
